What you will learn
Booktown Clunes Sourdough Bread Talk
Join me as I join the fabulous crew at Booktown Clunes for a sourdough chat.
“Sourdough bread is a very delicious thing and the process of making it a glorious enriching ritual. It is also so much easier to make than people realise. Let me show you how to bake bread at home using The Baker’s Percentage and I also want you to know… that you can feed your leaven as little as once a month! Let me show you how”
Each week at my home I make delicious nutritious bread. The kind of bread that would cost you $15 a loaf to buy from a sourdough bakery. Literally.
The bread I make weighs 1.3kg, if you purchase bread from a supermarket, to reach the equivalent weight, you would need to buy 2.26 loaves of one of the branded mainstream breads.
Supermarket breads are mostly air. They look really cheap but at $5.30 a loaf, and weighing around 575g, you would need to spend about $12 to reach the weight of my home made bread. The weight in my bread will be really nutritious use a % of genuine whole-grain flour to make it, while so many supermarket breads use malt to make their breads look more wholegrain than they are. I’d love to show you how. Join me if you can at this free event. I will have my book for sale 🙂
Booktown Sunday in Clunes is a Free event held on the second Sunday of each the month, at 80 Service Street Clunes, Victoria 3370
